American Massage and Bodywork Institute Announces First Graduation Class

Vienna, Va. (Oct. 31, 2016) – American Massage & Bodywork Institute (AMBI), located in Northern Virginia, proudly announced today the graduation of their first class of massage therapists. Graduation ceremonies will get underway at 3:00 pm on Friday, November 4 when each student will embark on a profession filled with wellness and lifestyle enhancement.

“This first graduating class is certainly a milestone, but more importantly, a dream come true for me,” said President and CEO Scott Deidun. “As we brought this massage school concept to life, my goal was to change the lives of our students and I believe we have done that.”

This initial graduating class represents many walks of life. Five different countries of national origin are represented as is a veteran, a former television executive, an African nursing student, and two single mothers who were faced with daily language barriers. “Over the course of our six-month program, I have watched each student grow and learn so much. They were on a journey unfamiliar to them, but each and every one of them thrived in our learning environment,” added Deidun.

Realizing the overwhelming demand for skilled massage therapists, Mr. Deidun partnered with Henry Kim, Stephen Vereb, Dr. Lester Zuckerman, and Dr. Marc Loev to form AMBI. Vereb and Kim knew first-hand the need that existed as they own and operate several Massage Envy’s in the area. “We saw how much therapists cared about healing and the therapeutic health benefits that are readily apparent just by the simple power of touch,” said Mr. Kim. “Our seamless transition in partnering with Scott and his unparalleled massage therapy school curriculum made our decision to work together that much easier.”

Through the vast experience of AMBI’s staff, all students received a comprehensive education that introduced them to a unique program that includes hands-on and practical bodywork along with both traditional classroom and online curriculum. “Massage therapy is one of the fastest growing professions and all of our graduates will be so well-prepared to enter the workforce. We are transforming the lives of our graduates and making the world a far healthier place to live in albeit one person at a time,” added Deidun.
